Some Changes and "Upgrades," If You Will.

Some Changes and "Upgrades," If You Will.

Hey everyone - Thank you for your continued support of my blog here. It's been an interesting year.

Oh, that's right! This blog has been up for a year now! Wow, it's nuts to think that I've been doing this for a year. There were some hiccups around the 4th month or so, and I didn't really write much for a while during that time. But, as you can tell, that has changed pretty considerably in the last 4-5 months or so. And that change is intended to be more permanent. With how active I am on Twitter, I want to become that active here, and that's been the goal for a while now.

So, other news -

I not only write here, but you can find my posts on a couple of other blogs as well. and

So if you're looking for other top-notch writing on related topics, make sure you hit up those blogs, subscribe, and engage with us. We love comments. :-)

Also, my YouTube channel continues to grow, somewhat surprisingly. I haven't done anything with it for a couple of months now (I wanted to really buckle down on the blog, and get some writing out), but despite my absence in the last couple of months, I've gotten a lot of views on various videos, and even gained 3 subscribers. The channel isn't dead, it's just that I'm trying to make up for lost attention here. I will continue there, and even plan to expand it into more 3 Pillars of Anarchy related material. I even have a few videos related to Anarchy, or like subjects on the channel, already. If you haven't, please head over and subscribe. The more subscribers, the more views, the more minutes watched, the more I can expand. :-) Here's the link:

Once I hit 100 subs, I can finally change the name to what it really represents.

A little about the channel - It's similar content to the blog, but not the same. The YouTube channel focuses more on the nerd side of things - video games, comic books, comic book related tv shows and movies, etc...I do introduce Anarchy views through some of the content, however. Hence the name - The Anarcho-Nerdist. Anarchy, but for nerds. :-P And videos I make and blogs I write will reflect on each other. For instance, I have written, and will write more, blogs regarding Trans-Humanism, and will make videos regarding the same thing. For instance, I still have an upcoming blog post on "Is Anarchy Compatible with Trans-Humanism? pt. 2" (Pt. 1 is already out - click here), and the plan is to have similarly themed videos on Trans-Humanism, as well. For the channel, there is the play button icon on the bottom of the home page. Also posted my is Snowden review video, and if you click the right facing arrow, it will take you to the video, which will show the channel, as well. That's at the bottom of the page, too.

And this was always my plan from the beginning - to have sister projects, in the form of a blog and YouTube channel that bounced off of each other. The 3rd aspect of this triad of media projects was to include a semi-regular podcast, which I really want to do, but has been the most neglected of all my projects. I was less confident that people wanted to hear me drone on by myself for 10-30 minutes at a time, and would rather either just read, or watch a video. I definitely want to collaborate with others on all of these projects, but haven't received any interest that has proved fruitful, or at all. This is partly why I've taken positions writing at other blogs, as well. They are collaborative, and by exposing myself more, I am hoping that will increase the chances of those kinds of things happening.

So what do you think? Would you like to hear me on podcasts, even if it is just me? Or should I stick to the blog and YouTube channel for now?

Alright, and lastly - I do have a Patreon. And it would be awesome if you could help me out with that, and donate by becoming a patron there. Even just a few dollars every month adds up, and would help me tremendously. I love doing this, and would love to get to a point where I can concentrate on it exclusively, or as a full-time media venture. If you find my content to be of value, please consider going to my patreon, and donating whatever you can and becoming a consistent patron. I'm still trying to come up with other incentives for my patrons - things that only patrons get - but haven't really thought of anything good. If you have ideas, please let me know in the comments below, as well. Here's the link to my patreon. I also added a rolling notification to the top of the blog, and a button on the bottom of my home page that contain the links as well.

Well, I think that's it. It's been a busy year, between growing my blog, the youtube channel, joining two other blogs, beginning the early stages of a book I will be writing, applying for new Graduate Programs on top of what I've already been doing...oh, and then this crazy election.

Like I said, it's been a busy (and insane) year.

Thank you to those who've been consistent readers, who followed me on Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, or here on the blog.  An even bigger thanks to those who follow me on two or more of those things. :-D

I hope to continue to get more feedback, and appreciate what I've gotten thus far. Again, please consider subscribing to my Patreon and becoming a patron. Also, head over to the YouTube channel, subscribe, and check out my videos. Do you like the nerd stuff? Make sure you leave comments and let me know what you'd like to see in the future.

I think that's everything. Thanks again everyone. Here's to growth and progress in the new year! Let's double the growth from the past year, and let's do it together!

With love, and Happy New Years (1 month and 8 days too late) everyone!
